Originally published in 2009, Supergirl: Cosmic Adventures in the 8th Grade was the gateway into the world of superheroes for my daughter. We loved reading these comics together at bed time and after the mini-series ended, we patiently awaited the sequel.
While we continue our wait, we're going to spend some time revisiting this series and asking The Comic Wizard to join us when he can.
So, without further adieu...
What was the story about?
Suepr Reader - It was about when Supergirl crash landed on earth, accidentally defeating Lex Luthor's robot thingy and meeting her cousin for the first time.
Most of the story was about how Supergirl (disguised as Linda Lee) goes to 8th Grade for the first time.
Comic Wizard - Supergirl was in a rocket that got sent to earth. Once here, she had to go to school and had a lot of problems.
Who were the main characters?
Supergirl (A.K.A . Linda Lee), Superman and all of the kids at school.
What did you like best?
Super Reader - I liked when Supergirl's spaceship accidentally hit Lex Luthor's giant robot super suit.
Comic Wizard - When Supergirl had P.E.
What didn't you like? Super Reader - I didn't like when all of the kids at school kept laughing at Linda Lee.
How many stars?
Super Reader - 5 out of 5.
Comic Wizard - 5 out of 5.
